Tessera Reveals New Style Of Carpet Tile
Hi-tech CMC Infinity tufting machinery has enabled Tessera to launch Format, a carpet tile with a new advanced pile construction, which the company says ‘takes low loop pile tiles out of the mainstream into a new and exciting direction’. Format offers all the wear resistance and appearance retention normally associated with a conventional heavy contract, low level loop pile tile. However, by introducing rich built in texture with multi-height tufts, Tessera has created more visual appeal and added value, giving specifiers and contractors alike a new affordable option for mainstream commercial floorcovering projects. A broad colour palette of eighteen contemporary and commercially attractive tonal shades allows Format to be co-ordinated with a wide range of interior design schemes. While this new carpet tile is manufactured predominantly from solution dyed yarns for superior resistance to fading, Tessera’s design team has also introduced carefully co-ordinated space-dyed yarns throughout the tile to provide a subtle flecked effect and enhance its soil hiding properties. Sarah Ludlam, Tessera Design Manager, says: “Aesthetically, Format has universal appeal with its attractive texture and carefully harmonised yarns. In terms of performance, the tightly packed loops give great wear resistance and an exceptional castor chair rating, so it’s an ideal choice for offices and other heavy traffic environments. Essentially what we’ve achieved with our new tufting capabilities is a brand new style of carpet tile construction which really does offer the customer the very best of all worlds.” For further information please contact Tessera on 0870 8550 510 or click on www.tesseracarpettiles.com This article was submitted by Qube Magazine for this and more visit www.qubeonline.co.uk
